Groupbuy or Partnership Channel?
What is the difference between a groupbuy and a partnership channel, and which should I choose?

Every deal is made of two posts: your ad in their server, and their ad in yours. For each one, you choose where it goes.
The Two Options#
| Groupbuy | Partnership channel | |
|---|---|---|
| Where the ad goes | The server's shared partner channel, alongside other partners | A new channel just for that partner |
| Who sees it first | Whoever reads the shared channel | Anyone browsing the channel list, since it has its own name |
| Who else is there | Other partners' ads | Only that partner's ads |
| Best for | Most swaps | Bigger or longer-running partners |
Both sides are chosen separately. Tower could give you a channel while you give them a groupbuy.
How the Channels Work#
- The bot makes channels inside the category you chose when you set up. Members can read them but can't post.
- The shared channel is called groupbuy-partners, unless you already had one. It's created the first time an ad needs it.
- A partnership channel is named after the partner. If you partner with them again, the same channel is reused.
- If you delete a channel, the bot makes a new one the next time it needs it.
Note
If a category is full, Discord won't allow another channel, so Partnership channel is greyed out. Discord allows 50 channels in a category.
